What is Floor sanding?

Floor sanding, put simply, is quite an art. The first job is to abrade the floor so it is level. After this, the sanding starts in earnest.

At Halo Floors, we use the best sanders on the market. The Bona 10″ belt sander is the key to any floor sanding job. This machine has the ability to level and sand any floor to a high standard while also collecting virtually all the dust that is generated. Using this machine in combination with an 7″ edging sander, Lagler Trio and Festool rotex sander (depending on the job being tackled), we can pass the floor with five different grades of abrasive until it is prepared for the finishing process. There are many other tools required to give each floor in question the attention it deserves. It is about, simply, having the correct kit and the patience not to cut corners.
